get out your VCR’s it’s time to watch The Prince of Egypt. or you can watch it here.

please don’t watch exodus: gods and kings because it’s icky and racist. you deserve better. you deserve the prince of egypt.

May I also add that The Prince of Egypt’s accuracy has been approved by not only Christianity, but by Judaism and Islam as well! So it’s actually the most accurately told version out there!

the only downside is that PoE has an almost all white voice cast but tbh I still think its a better fucking movie than the shitpile that Exodus will turn out to be

What if this movie actually turns out to be fantastic? I don’t think “icky and racist” is much of an argument. It’s a movie about slavery.

it’s icky and racist because it redesigned the face of the sphinx to make it look european, and gave the black actors negative roles while they gave the white actors the roles of the egyptian royalty and hebrew protagonist. white people should have not been in this story, yet here they are.

yeeah it’s a movie about slavery but white people didn’t live in egypt.. as egyptians… in 1446 BC. white people are not egyptian.

yeah i don’t care if everything else is great i’m not giving racism and whitewashing my time and my money.

I don’t really see how the whitewashing matters. The story was already extremely fabricated, plus I personally don’t mind. It’d be like complaining about the vulcan’s hair color. It’s just a silly argument. bitching about it would just be pointless.

They’ve already reached WAY over their goal, but you can still get some early bird deliveries for an early start of the water balloon madness!
